About The Brand
Tasman Diamond Co is a Tasmanian based jewellery brand focused on unique and timeless designs showcasing ethically sourced, laboratory grown diamonds. I love all things jewellery and am excited by the new-found accessibility and affordability that came with the advent of laboratory created diamonds. Each piece is designed with care and intention, with many made by hand in my workshop. From bold statement rings to delicate everyday pieces, my jewellery is crafted to be loved for a lifetime.
I’m always happy to chat about small adjustments to my existing designs. Feel free to get in touch at tasmandiamondco@outlook.com - I’d love to hear from you.
FAQ
Why Laboratory Grown Diamonds?
Ethical:
Lab grown diamonds are free from the ethical issues often associated with mined diamonds, such as financing armed conflict, forced labor, violence and exploitation.
Mine free:
The production of lab-grown diamonds typically has a lower environmental impact compared to diamond mining, especially open-pit mining, which can cause significant environmental degradation including deforestation, soil erosion, water pollution, and loss of biodiversity, often in vulnerable regions with limited environmental protections.
Cost Effective:
Lab grown diamonds are generally much cheaper than mined diamonds of the same quality.
Identical in composition:
Lab grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. They have the same hardness, brilliance and fire, making them indistinguishable from mined diamonds.
